Our festival is approaching soon Sunday September 29. We will have a polka band from 12 pm to 4pm followed by Flashback CLE (70’s 80’s hits) from 5 pm to 9 pm. Hope to see everyone there. Louise Slavik will be coordinating selling and collecting of baked goods that will be sold during the festival. We ask if you are able to bake some goodies to sell this year to please bring them next Saturday (9/28) and drop them off in the sacristy after the 4 pm Mass or on Sunday after the 8:30 and 11:30 Masses. Beginning the first Sunday in October, we are going to completely erase all the names of the sick in the parish bulletin and start fresh. The reason is very few call us back to let us know they no longer are sick, hospitalized, etc. We even had to take several deceased people out who were on the list long after they passed away. If you wish to be placed in the bulletin for prayers, we welcome a call at the rectory and we would be glad to place the name(s) on a new list. Please, don’t assume people want their names in the bulletin especially if they are not your immediate family or are not related to you. Please ask them in advance if they want their names published in the parish bulletin for prayers. The lady’s guild will be reciting the rosary during the month of October at 11:00 am just prior to the Sunday 11:30 am mass. The intention will be for world peace. The Lady’s guild is also collecting paper and cleaning products for a Right to Life October Project. The goods will be distributed to Zelies House (Garfield Hts.) and Celine’s Nest (Lakewood). Large baskets will be available at the church entrances beginning the first Sunday of October. The raffle tickets are coming in slowly this year. Please get yours in before Saturday September 28th so they can be included in the drawing. Fr. Roach
